Our Restorative Services

We offer a complete range of restorative treatments and services for kids

Pulp Therapy

The center of every tooth has what is called “the pulp.” This is nerve tissue that, when met with bacteria, can become excruciatingly painful. Cavities or cracks within the enamel of a tooth can result in severe toothaches that reach deep down to the pulp. Should your child experience this level of pain, our dentists may suggest pulp therapy to stop the bacteria from spreading and alleviate the pain. This will also allow us to save the tooth from extraction. If left untreated, the bacteria can progress and lead to infection, which may require extraction. Your child will feel no pain during the procedure because we will numb the area before removing the infected pulp.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

No matter how much your child brushes and flosses their teeth, cavities can still occur. Even with fluoride treatment and dental sealants, these pesky, dental annoyances can pop up and cause your child to need pediatric dental care. When this happens, a tooth-colored filling will most likely be the suggested method of treatment. If you’re worried this restorative option will leave your child with a silver or gold piece of metal shining brightly in their mouth, there’s no need to worry. Nowadays, more and more dentists are choosing to treat patients with tooth-colored fillings. These are created using a composite resin that is matched to your child’s natural tooth color, enabling them to have a beautiful, seamless smile. The resin is BPA-free and 100% metal-free, so this great news for children who have allergies or sensitivities to metal!

Metal-Free Crowns

When a tooth is decayed or damaged to a point that a filling is no longer an option, you can bet the next course of action will be to place a metal-free dental crown over the damaged tooth. Made of zirconia, which is a ceramic-like substance, our crowns are 100% metal-free, and they are strong and durable. A dental crown will not only protect your child’s weakened tooth, but it will restore their visual appearance and offer full functionality. Your child won’t have to worry about the look of their smile because we’ll make sure the crown blends in with the rest of their natural teeth.

One-Visit Restorations

Thanks to Solea laser technology and electric handpieces, many cavities can now be treated in just one appointment. In many cases, treatment is so gentle it doesn’t require shots or numbing. These same-day restorations are color-matched and provide lasting results — without the wait.

Space Maintainers

If your child loses a baby tooth too early, a space maintainer may be needed to keep neighboring teeth from shifting. This small appliance preserves room for the permanent tooth to erupt properly. It’s a simple, proactive step that helps prevent the need for future orthodontics.

Tooth Splinting for Dental Injuries

When a tooth is loosened due to trauma, our team can use a technique called splinting to stabilize and protect it. The affected tooth is gently bonded to surrounding teeth to allow for healing. This treatment may save the tooth and prevent the need for extraction after an accident or sports injury.

Emergency Restorative Care

Whether your child chips a tooth, knocks one out, or develops sudden pain, we offer emergency care to restore their comfort and smile. Depending on the situation, we may use a filling, crown, or pulpotomy to address the issue quickly and effectively. Same-day appointments are often available.

Call Us
Is restorative treatment safe for young children?

Yes. Our board-certified pediatric dentists are trained in behavior management and minimally invasive techniques to ensure your child stays safe, comfortable, and calm throughout treatment.

What’s the difference between a filling and a crown?

Fillings repair smaller cavities by filling in the damaged part of a tooth. Crowns are used when a tooth is more extensively damaged and needs full coverage for strength and protection.

Will my child be in pain during restorative treatment?

We use gentle numbing techniques and comfort-focused care so your child feels as relaxed as possible. Many restorative treatments are completed in a single visit with minimal discomfort and quick recovery.
